Charles N. King
Charles King started with Collier Engineering in August of 2016. Mr. King has extensive experience in many areas of transportation. He has designed bridges, collected data for use in planning the needs for future highways on the state system, traffic engineering, signing and marking, maintenance contracts, facilities, from storage sheds to regional complexes, emergency management with Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and Tennessee Homeland Security.
At Collier Engineering, Charles will be working with City and County governments on their transportation needs. Mr. King has worked with local governments with the Tennessee Department of Transportation State Aid Office. He managed the program for eleven years, overseeing projects in all 95 counties in Tennessee, he also managed TDOT City Maintenance contracts. While in the Maintenance Division and State Aid Office with TDOT, Mr. King responded to public inquires in the form of letters, e-mails, and phone calls.
