Stephen G. Brown
Construction Project Manager
Mr. Brown has 20 years of professional experience in construction management and civil engineering. Stephen started his career as a civil engineer, and he developed and managed many projects such as residential, commercial, mixed use, industrial, roadway, and utility projects. Some of his responsibilities included direct client contact, coordination with city, state and federal agencies for permitting and studies, and construction phase services. In 2004 he began to focus more on construction by joining a development team. Here he was responsible for putting creative desires on paper and ultimately on the ground. Stephen accomplished this by working with design professionals and obtaining the approval of local agencies through presentations in public and private meetings. Once all approvals were in place, he worked as the general contractor to manage his workforce and sub-contractors to ensure the project was completed according to plan. In 2010 Stephen started working with Rogers Group, Inc. as a construction manager, initially over private work and then transitioning into municipal and DOT work. His primary responsibilities included managing multiple paving crews, coordinating trucking and transportation, and managing quarries and asphalt plants.
Stephen Brown joined the Collier Engineering team in 2015 as construction project manager. In this role, he oversees 4 construction managers and approximately 25 field inspectors that work on a wide variety of construction projects such as parks, stormwater, sidewalks, and the paving program. As construction manager, Stephen verifies that the projects are built according to plan, on schedule, and within budget.
