Tulip Grove Road
Collier Engineering provided the engineering design and construction management for the Tulip Grove Road resurfacing project on Nashville, Tennessee. This project was constructed in coordination with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville Davidson County Department of Public Works (MPW) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT)’s State Aid Program. The final project compiled with with necessary Metro Code permits, Metro regulatory approvals, and all current TDOT safety and design standards. The project consisted of roadway resurfacing on Tulip Grove Road from Lebanon Pike to Central Pike. The length of the project was approximately 16,326 feet (3.092 miles). The proposed improvements were constructed to allow for 25′ wide paved roadway, with varying paved shoulders or existing sidewalk on each side. The final surface of the road was hot mix asphalt. Coordination with local utilities was preformed by Collier Engineering, and assistance was provided to MPW for any property owner issues such as resetting mailboxes and tying into private driveways. Final project cost was approximately $479,000.00.
