ALTA Survey of Old Due West Landfill Site to Create Music City Solar Park for NES - Nashville, TN

Collier Engineering performed an ALTA survey on the old landfill site at Due West Avenue by Skyline Medical Center and collected topographic data as part of said ALTA. We assisted Metro in dividing the property into two new parcels – one of which was transferred to a new owner.

Specific Tasks:

  • Coordinated with clients to confirm scope details, including table A items required.

  • Before field visits began, we performed extension office work researching property on Metro deeds/GIS website on easements and exceptions regarding the Schedule B – Section II items. In addition, we obtained water and sewer maps from MWS, request Piedmont Gas maps, and TN one calls for this project. In addition, we reached out to TDOT plan sales for road plans along I-65.

  • We began this project with a three-person crew running a Robotic Total Station and GPS unit. Fieldwork consisted of closing a traverse to the satisfaction of a category I survey, topography, and all property improvements. Sanitary/storm inverts were obtained for this project. We ran of traverse across the entire 31 acres and located 2500’ of road to complete the overall parcel boundary survey. Once the boundary of the 31 acres was completed, we then cut out a 5.46-acre parcel and certified an ALTA survey for this area and topo’d this parcel and an adjoining 600’ of road.

  • Once field data was collected, we produced an ALTA survey on the 5.46 acres in addition to the boundary survey.
