ALTA Survey for Brookmeade School - Nashville, TN
Collier Engineering performed an ALTA survey for the old Brookmeade School in Nashville as part of the property transfer process. A topographic survey was also provided. We received a signed proposal with an anticipated completion time of 4 weeks or 30 days. The final survey was delivered in line with expectations, and the client was more than satisfied with the service provided.
Specific Tasks:
Coordinated with clients to confirm scope details, including table A items required.
Before field visits began, we performed extension office work researching property on Metro deeds/GIS website on easements and exceptions regarding the Schedule B – Section II items. In addition, we obtained water and sewer maps from MWS, request Piedmont Gas maps, and TN one calls for this project.
Fieldwork consisted of closing a traverse to the satisfaction of a category I survey, topography, and all property improvements. Said improvements consisted of locating a school building, adjoining roads and striping, access roads on site. Also, sanitary/storm inverts were obtained for the purpose of this project.
We began this project with a one-person crew, and a Robotic Total Station was used to complete the initial boundary recon and traverse. As we progressed, work was completed with a two-person crew and with a traditional total station.
Final deliverables included ALTA survey prints and a legal description.
