TDOT - High Priority Bridge Replacement Program (HPBRP)

Collier Engineering performed the engineering design and construction management for the bridge replacement and roadway improvements for Cave Springs Road (Algie Sewell Road) over Leipers Creek in Maury County, Tennessee. The old bridge structure was built in 1958 and had become unsafe for vehicular traffic. We proposed to replace the deficient 55’ two-span bridge with a new 60’ single-span bridge. The roadway improvements included providing smoother curve transitions for 10’ lanes and 2’ shoulders, as well as adding superelevation to improve rideability. Collier also helped the County coordinate with local utilities and property owners.
