Civil Engineer - Transportation
Job Description
We are hiring a Civil Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in civil design and construction management for Transportation projects. In addition, the ideal candidate will know about traditional transportation projects funded at local, TDOT, and federal levels.
Responsibilities and duties:
Project analysis and planning
Prepare engineering or technical computations and prepare design solutions.
Preparation of construction documents including plan and profile plans, erosion control plans, drainage plans, stormwater management, utilities, bridge and culvert details, transportation improvements, and project cost estimates/analysis, etc
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET/EAC accredited program
Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification in TN or the ability to acquire
5 to 10 years of relevant experience with civil design and construction management for Stormwater/Site Development
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of construction industry best practices, codes, and regulations
Experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D (experience with MicroStation is a bonus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Valid Driver's License
