Industrial Site - Waynesboro, TN.

In 2022, Collier Engineering was selected by the City of Waynesboro to provide Civil Engineering services to develop a 10-acre site to provide a flat building surface for future developers. The site includes a road, parking, loading dock, and building pad. Approximately 76,000 cubic yards of material were moved on-site to create 10.2 developable acres to attract industry. Originally, Collier assisted the City by providing cost estimates and presenting a grant application to the Tennessee Economic and Community Development (TNECD), which resulted in the City receiving a grant for 1.4 million dollars to put towards the project.

Once funding was in place, Collier provided a boundary and topographic survey that included the location of existing utilities, elevations, and wet weather conveyances. We also provided a geotechnical report with slope recommendations. Collier performed initial hydrologic determinations on two previously identified conveyance channels. After acceptance and review of the technical data collected, Collier Engineering provided a schematic, design development, and then a finalized set of construction documents to guide permitting and construction of the project. Finally, during construction, our Construction Engineering and Inspection team provided construction coordination and inspection services to provide quality assurance and quality control.

The project was completed in approximately 4 months within budget.
