Metro Parks hired Collier Engineering to provide project management assistance to coordinate conceptual design, stakeholder engagement, and cost estimating for the future development of a pocket park at 1606 Jefferson Street.

Collier worked with the third-party design firm to develop a vision for the future park. This vision met Metro Parks’ goal of developing a defined, neighborhood-scaled park that could be activated by an intermixed, intergenerational user mix, while also celebrating North Nashville's heritage and Jefferson Street’s historic higher education and civil rights roots.

Within the scope of service for this role, Collier supported the concept design phase by conducting preliminary due diligence and site investigations to determine construction feasibility at a granular level for this location. The preliminary design largely reflected the site’s stormwater storage facilities and series of underground detention structures.
