Nicholas Tuttle, PLA
Nicholas Tuttle started at Collier in 2022 as Project Manager. Also, as our lead Landscape Architect, he and his team oversee all projects requiring Landscape Architecture services, from initial concept design to the creation of construction documents and specifications, while working hand in hand with our Civil Engineers.
As part of his senior collegiate project, Nick and his classmate designed a play area, running track, and shaded lunch area for an elementary school in an underserved area in South Africa. After graduating from California Polytechnic University in 2014, they brought the project to fruition by creating an organization named Swings to Dreams. He and his partner started fundraising and assembled a crew to complete the construction. Nick later transitioned this experience by working for a California-based firm that primarily focuses on athletic facilities design. As a result, he gained experience designing and supervising the construction of various sports fields and facilities, including public parks and educational facilities, from elementary to the collegiate level.
In 2021 Nick and his family moved to the Middle Tennessee area. His career then took him into the high-end residential world, designing unique and extravagant spaces in both the single-family and multi-family markets across the United States. Now at Collier Engineering, he enjoys blending his previous career paths by working with various project types. His past experiences give him a different perspective, allowing him to look very closely at the details in connection with the big picture.
