Ravenwood Regional Park - Hermitage, TN

Collier Engineer has partnered with Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, Hodgson Douglas Landscape Architecture, and Hastings Architecture to design and manage the construction of this beautiful regional park (previously known as the Ravenwood Country Club) for Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation. Master Plan and Phase One Construction for an 800-acre property in Donelson-Hermitage Tennessee. The park is located on a major bend in the Stones River and includes property that was once the Ravenwood Country Club. The site is extraordinarily beautiful and is home to diverse natural habitats. The Master Plan focused on restoration of the native landscape, an extensive trail system, as well as incorporating the existing greenway into the park.

Phase I consists of a Hilltop Lawn, Large and Small Event Pavilions that overlook the beautiful vistas of the park, crab orchard quarry stone features, a Picnic Grove, a Big Dig sand play area, and a multiple-color rubberized surface play areas for both tots and older kids that boasts of a 50’ tall rope net structure tower with slides. The park also includes a large asphalt parking lot with ADA access, basketball court, a play wall for racket sports, an adult fitness area, and multiple connections to the asphalt walking paths.
