Wilson County Schools Materials Testing and Construction Observation
Collier Engineering performed materials testing and construction observation for various school sites in 2016-2017. Our materials testing services provided during construction for each project were comprehensive, including detailed documentation of foundation subgrades and reinforcing steel, thorough sampling and testing of cast-in-place concrete, comprehensive review and testing of asphalt paving operations, and meticulous special inspections for structural steel connections and masonry construction. We also provided extensive documentation for site work and fill placement/compaction for the Southside Elementary and Tuckers Crossroads Elementary projects. The support of the grading operations involved thorough observation and testing of the fill constructed with shot rock and soil materials.
